Does the timing of comeback matters? Zimzalabim vs Umpah umpah.

  • From what i've read; Zimzalabim got lot of negative reactions for its unconventional music. But according to RV fans; umpah umpah which came after zimzalabim performed even worse on charts even though it would be considered a very public friendly song with a catchy choreo. Did umpah umpah got affected by poor charting of Zzb? if umpah umpah was released before zzb; would it have charted better than zzb? Your thoughts?

Also; zzb itself came after really bad boy which also didn't perform as well on charts compared to the previous power up and bad boy.

  • Did not feel it was so long ago we had Red Flavor, but I see it was four years ago... where does the time go?....

I think when a popular group gets older it's get harder for them to chart with songs that are a bit weak or just "okay" because some of their early fanbase probably have moved on or lost some of the intrest, same with the generall public. They need hits like Psycho to chart well.
