The decline of IU and the rise of trottists in Korea - IU crushed by a lesser-known trottist who shares her birthday

Kim Euiyoung is a trottist who scored #6 or so in the Miss Trot #2 show.

Although there are a few idols who have slightly different birthdays from IU, this Kim Euiyoung has a birthday, May 16, 1993, which is the same as that of the singer who fought KPop for all her life.

Kim Euiyoung is not even that popular among the new group of trottist. The two youngsters and Hong Jiyoon get most of the attention, with the winner Yang Jieun (married with two children) acting like someone who just landed at Mars.

But, even the lesser of the trottists is now strong enough to humiliate IU, showing the power of the trottists.

Kim Euyong will fight the 'winner' between Lee Hyori and Lim Yoona, and no matter what happens, Euyong must have found herself proud of beating the singer who has the same birthday as her but someone she will never really beat in real life.

(That aside, it is possible that Lee Jieun will invite some trottists after her filming ends. Koreeda is not a director who spends a lot of time filming; most of his work is after-production. so Lee Jieun will probably be back to filming IU's Palette sometime in June. It is like that Kim Euyoung, whose birthday is the same as IU, and the two Jieuns (Yang Jieun and Eun Gaeun(original name Kim Jieun)) would be invited.)

Kim Euiyoung was in a couple audition programs before competing in Miss Trot 2. She was in "Trot Queen" and "Last Singer". Her style is similar to other contestants in MT2, trot influenced by traditional Korean chants.
