You think they can take over kpop? Yes or No?

  • I'm not talking about the concept. I'm talking about the "concept" if you know you know

If Tarzzan hadn’t revealed his hair like that at the very beginning, I really think ifans would’ve shown more support for ADP. I’ve noticed that ifans are really particular about hair...

I've noticed that American fans are really particular about hair. Most people don't actually care. In many European countries, we have tons of Black-owned shops that do all kinds of braids on white people. Maybe it's in the US too, just not in the Kpop niche. Idk.

Definitely, they can still tolerate outfits and maybe grills but it's always the hair that provokes them. I'm not black so I don't have a say in this... I'll just keep quiet...

  • Oh haha. Well it's kind of cringe tbh. But they look like children so I don't think they deserve hate for it.

It is cringe but it's probably Jay Park telling them to do that so it makes noise in the kpop community, which it did. Watching the music video, it’s obvious he was hoping for some kind of reaction from the kpop stans again. Too bad they didn’t really care...

They are young, the members are 15-19. I actually came across their recent live and they are sooo tame, even tamer than a lot of the recent idols that debuted. They're not what is portrayed in that pic or music video at all. They come across as polite shy young children...

  • Every time I see a group debut with this rebellious “we’re not like your typical Kpop group” concept and criticizing the industry, I get curious about how old the members are and how long they’ve been trainees.

The song itself isn’t bad, but once you realize they’re all under 20 with one of them is literally 15...it’s hard to take them seriously. Did the company really think these kids look tuff? They’ve literally spent years training to be idols, hopping from one company to another just hoping someone will debut them. It's laughable.

I actually like this kind of concept when it’s done by adults, because then it feels like at least part of it might come from the members themselves, not just another image the company cooked up to sell the group.

I don't see how them being kids is disadvantageous to their concept

Infact teens are usually more rebellious, free , following their ideals strongly , willing to question authority compared to adults who get jaded as they grow up and face the reality of the world

Because these are kids in Kpop, stuck under same strict management and ideology with the whole industry they trying to criticize.

I believe some, if not all of them, probably tried their shot at the Big 4 but failed, and the Big 4 are the epitome of everything they claim to criticize. They’ve been trained to live in the system for years willingly, so obviously we all know this concept didn’t come from them.

They can be as rebellious as their company wants, I don’t care… but even I know these kids are just tools to make the company look “different” and “good” in the eyes of outsiders. And also, I will continue critized a hypocrite kpop companies like these.
