Should JYPE’s next girl group go the Twice route?

    I feel that JYP’s latest korean girl groups (Itzy and NMIXX) were more on the quirky, experimental side and dabbled in darker concepts.


    And now with the rebrand of Vcha to Girlset, we have yet another girl group geared towards the west and putting out trendier concepts and music.


    And with Niziu and Twice aging out of their cute sounds, there’s a space left in JYPE for a girl group with an innocent/cute aesthetic. So should JYPE go this route with their next gg? :pepe-notes:

    I think they’re gonna sound like NewJeans. Specifically new jack swing. JYP loves that shit, and the fact a kpop girl group popularised that sound again but it wasn’t one of his own must eat away at him, every night, as he lies in his bed, wrapped up in his see-through plastic pajamas.


    His whole team will be telling him no. But he didn’t build up his own company just to listen to some suits. He wants to have his cake and eat it. Suddenly a name springs into his mind. To have your cake and eat it, one must DoubleTheCake.
