There have always been fans who think this way and I agree it's quite irritating. I think it's mostly people who don't know anything or much about singing but are just impressed that some idols can hit super high notes. They probably don't even notice if those notes were sung in a healthy way or not, it doesn't matter to them.
Yesss and its crazy cuz you genuinely don't even need special skills to notice when a note is sung healthily.
But then again, companies also have a very notable rep in terms of giving idols songs that don't suit them.
