    they need new ideas. can't just play mafia til the end of time. it's really the korean comedians' fault. that's where companies steal the ideas for content from, so if they're in a slump, then it's bad for the groups. still some funny stuff out there, but not much

    instead of variety show training, kpop idols started getting selfie trainings and tiktok challenge trainings. Variety show used to be a BIG thing as part of the entire idol personality, and was a great gateway for fans since idols all used to appear collectively on big weekend tv broadcast shows. Nowadays everyone has their own youtube channels and are all managed by companies themselves, rather than tv station PD's.
