The fairytale embroidery is such a nice touch! I had embroidered handkerchiefs, made by my mother when I was little and began to learn folk dance. All of them had our national motifs, with so many cheerful colors and flowers! I have them still at my childhood home, I should bring them with me next time I visit grandma.

This kind of things came to my mother easily. She sewed me dresses my whole childhood. I was so trendy in kindergarten, lol. (Not bragging, I just have nice memories about this.) It seemed like it's not even hard for her because she spent her summertime with her grandma and learned all the tricks. I am really sad that mom doesn't see that well anymore so she can't do things like these. She's not that old but it is what it is. Now I'm planning to take sewing lessons when I have some time. It would be great to surprise her with something hand made.

As someone who loves these hand made art and bad eye sight, I totally understand - it really sucks that age and physical changes can impact one’s abilities and passions. I used to do some quilting myself as a hobby but not so much now. No time and my eyes are not what it was before!! I hope you can take the classes and surprise your mom, she will love it!!
