  • Hybe seems to have realized that Bnd has more potential than Tws, which is why they’ve shifted to pushing them more. Initially, they heavily focused on Tws during their debut, but the group still struggled to compete with Riize and didn’t generate much hype, even with a significant head start on the charts.

Still, these chart results feel off. Even groups like Stray Kids or Ateez, with larger Korean fandoms and can sell.out venues there, haven’t achieved this. So, for a nameless new boy group like Bnd to suddenly break into Melon’s top 10 with so little popularity in Korea, it’s nearly impossible unless the song goes viral. Yet I don't heard it anywhere tbh. Korean charts are largely driven by general public streams or extremely strong fandoms, like Lim Young Woong’s.

I don’t understand why Hybe keeps doing this. Just like with Tws, this strategy only risks ruining the group’s reputation in the long run. People can see through it.

BND are much more popular domestically than the groups you mentioned though. Look up their previous chart performance and you will see the steady growth. I don't think hybe has anything to do with this tbh.

Much more popular is such a stretch. After what happened with Hybe this year when their bg suddenly all rise on korean charts, it's hard to believe what's real anymore about them. But for sure, none of these boy groups are as popular among the general public as girl groups. Yet, those two groups I mentioned are definitely better known and have a larger Korean fanbase for now. That's the reality. While I agree with their steady growth in popularity, it's still impossible for them to get into the Melon Top 10 this fast, out of nowhere. Even Kiof took time to climb the charts while their songs went semi-viral in Korea. This would be more believable if it took some time to slowly climb to the top. And seeing them able to chart this many songs at once on Melon, let's be real, that's only shit really popular groups in Korea can do, which we know they aren't especially as bg. So, yeah, I will not buying this bias
