Food for thought : Why I-Fans should never take K-netz’s threats lightly

  • « I will not pretend that i have never complained about companies prioritizing K-netz over international stans, but very quickly i learned that complaining about this accomplishes nothing.

Often people believe that K-netz are prioritized because they are domestic market, which is true to some degree, but the biggest reason why in my observation is that in comparison to international stans they actually follow through their threats.

Company fear backlash from koreans because their bark is just as hard as their bite; where as to the best international stands have to offer is lip-service.

If korean threaten to unstan a group completely simply because one member mess up, believe me they will.

It’s like they have this innate power to pull their support 100% from an idol they were madly attached to just hours or days ago.

If their deduction of support causes the entire group to suffer, they do not care.

International stans are the complete opposite, they will bark on social media, twitter or (X) especially, about how they will drop this *idol and stan this group, tag the company, trend hashtags, and fight with supporting fans for days on end, and guess what happens at the end of the day?

Nothing, in fact, they would be lucky to get an apology, and if they do, it is often a flimsy three sentence paragraph in a poor attempt to appease the masses to make them shut up.

It kind of reminds me of the times my mom would stick a lollipop in my brother’s mouth when he was a kid just to get him to stop crying. If you act like child, you’ll be treated as such.

Screaming matches on social medias spaces are rewarded with quick fixes, and they ( the quick fixes) work every single time. If you want a long term change in a company or kpop group, you’re going to have to follow through your threats.

Financial gain is the primary goal of every for-profit organization, and if that is threatened, changes are made in order to maintain it. »

And maybe that's why I prefer to avoid conflicts with K-netz. They are not only a “one trend” country in terms of fashion, they are also a “one trend” country in terms of actions and threats.

On the other hand, it is difficult to have I-stans (composed of thousands and millions of fans) on the same page, to have everyone (or the majority) agree on an action is quite rare.

In summary, we must be united if we want the company to listen to us.
