How do I avoid (or at least deal with) people talking to me about biblical figures such as God?

It's fairly common to hear the word "God" in my area. I really don't like hearing that word said IRL.

I prefer talking about politics than religion. Hence, the mentioning of politicians, of any country, is far more acceptable to me than people talking to me about God, Jesus, etc.
