It's sad what's happening to Yeseo

  • She used to perform at huge concerts with Kep1er but now she's back to her nugu company and this is the kind of thing she's going through. Mashiro is her bff, who would prefer to promote with Maiden because there's more Japanese members and she can get a higher billing compared to Kep1er so Yeseo had to follow Mashiro into Maiden. But now Yeseo, who is of age, has to provide some sort of fanservice ala Fanatics, the underage members could, but Yeseo can't cover herself from the cold ass wind, so they took her blanket. And most Maiden fans are older men in Korea and Japanese women, so they don't see anything wrong with these sort of company practices.

  • They didn’t get to choose where they debuted. Mashiro didn’t go to Madein because she wanted to (we’ll never really know if she did) but because of their company decision. Yeseo didn’t join just to follow Mashiro either, they both had to because of their contracts. And Madein’s sales aren’t bad; their debut album sold 65k copies. In comparison, Kepi’s last album sold 118k. So, the group not exactly nugu, they’ve good amount of fanbase as the starter for a new group.

That said, it’s obviously still really upsetting, because Yeseo already dealt with so much during her time in Busters, where she got sexualized as a minor and now this again. 143 really need to stop promoting them this way and focus more on their female fanbase since that’s where most of the profits come from. Yeseo and Mashiro have that cute, little-sister vibe that their Japanese female fans love. They don’t need to cater to men with gross fan service to grow their fanbase.
