You asked where she mentioned them - her mentions of BTS all come from those backdoor kakaochats that Hybe obtained. They show she did not feel she could carry out her plans if BTS were not in the military because Hybe is weaker without them. And they are, we can see that plainly.
As for harming BTS... for me, it's the situation and the negative feeling and press this is genreating and heaping upon them and then what its consequences are.
Like it or not, BTS are the face of Hybe. They built that company from the ground up with the money and name prestige they had made for themselves. They were going to be caught in this shitstorm no matter what, but it keeps getting worse as time goes on. Now they are getting investigated, dragged in the press when they cannot even defend themselves and having friendships compromised.
Friendships? IMO, yes.
- They've also always been supportive of NewJeans. They've done dance practices with them, sang their songs in public, V had dinner with them etc. What about those friendships now?
- V worked with MHJ before and I'm certain it's because he respected her work. What will their relationship be when he reads the KKT and sees she wanted him and his group out of the picture in order to strike?
- Also, I don't know if you realize this, but they've been with BSH as long as they've been with each other. I've heard accounts about how fortune and success changed him and while I may not like what I hear he has become, it remains a fact that he has a relationship with the boys - and a close one by necessity since for many many years, it was just them struggling together. Like it or not, that relationship will also be dealt a blow.
I've said it's selfish before, but what it comes down to for me is this: what is BTS coming home to? A situation where they are immediately in the hot seat when they get out? Inevitably, they are going to have to pick the pieces and clean up the trash from a mess they had no part in making. Why? How is that fair? This isn't my idea of a happy homecoming and I doubt its theirs.
It's easy to say, oh they'll be fine and maybe they will be - sometimes I am convinced of that too, they've faced so much already. But there are times I'm concerned. It's those times when I think about how I'd feel in such a situation. I feel for all the idols caught in the crosshairs, I really do. But BTS are my faves and they can't even do anything to stand up for themselves right now.
Very informative reply, I appreciate that. Can see how army are clicked in but overall I feel they're completely safe from any real harm. Maybe some emotional distress. But not at the level njns is at or illit.
