this is why I wrote that if for example there is manga about dance competition like Ballroom or card competition then it makes sense

but the difference in real life that we have our pokemon as game characters, meanwhile Ash got those as 'his real life friends'

same way like for example you can have dog or cat, but you can't have a pokemon
