I was a child and some actor dressed like H.C. Andersen came to our school.
He started talking about "himself" and one thing I remember him saying was "my paternal grandfather was crazy" (I think he said that twice and he said it in a kinda funny way that it made the pupils laugh. I actually don't find that joke funny anymore and, yes, his grandfather did have some sort of mental illness.)
And I was convinced that this man was the actual H.C. Andersen.
I was such a silly child.
