    Hmmm thoughts? It’s def more Hollywood and I can see the liberties taken. I put this here since it is based on the Chinese sci-fi hit trilogy etc. This series was one of the best sci-fi series I’ve ever read - blew my mind. I am not sure if Western creators will keep the very Chinese perspectives or POV but it’s just an adaptation.


    This reminds me that I need to finish the C-drama adaptation too!

    the problem with fantasy C-dramas is the bad CGI and this trailer definitely got better graphics

    What's the issue with Netflix\Hollywood and erasing Asians from their stories? There're barely any non-Chinese characters in the first book, yet from the trailer it looks like Asian actors are in the minority and background decorations apart from the obvious "game" ones strongly signal that the primary setting won't be China like in the books.

    The C-drama based on this same series had solid CGI. It’s just that the adaptation has pacing issues and is a bit ‘slow’ at the start. But I will watch it and then compare lol.


    I recommend any book and sci-fi fans to give the source books a chance.
