Well, the fact that they are either first or second in the world with suicide cases, makes it pretty clear that it is indeed hell. But the internet is super fast, so who cares, not Kpop fans for sure, or you wouldn't be so abusive towards idols, just because they're not in your group of choice.
That beeing said, apart from air polution, housing issues etc., they are extremely conservative, at the same time extremely superficial. Patriarchal. Image obsessed. And from what I have seen online, they expect everyone to appreciate all things Korean, but they mock others and shut the door in their faces. As an European, I don't like that, as I prefer multiculturalism. I'm not even the wokest person, but Korea just seems like hell to me, I fell sorry for the women there aka second grade citizens.
