for cannes, it's usually jewelry brands like chopard and cartier who's sending people on red carpet. if you saw models or singers in cannes red carpet but you don't see them involved in any competing movies, this is likely the case. idk these past years i saw so many asian socialites attending cannes, maybe cannes also need their popularity to create exclusive, old glam vibes
