I'm kinda glad BTS didn't receive a Grammy...

The thing is that "BTS does not need Grammy vadilation" is not an unpopular opinion. I think pretty much everybody here thinks that. But people care and are disappointed because BTS said they cared.

IMO saying "I wish they win it with a song in korean" is like wishing they never win it because I can't see that happening. Of course it would be nice but this is an american adward afterall and I feel it is completely unrealistic to expect them to nominate a song in korean.

I think if BTS said 'We don't care about Grammys' anymore, then ARMY will gladly move on.

We can't though, because BTS cares about. And if they make another english song next year and try to get their Grammy, I will support them again.

I personally know how Grammys works, and how it has nothing to do with song quality, or popularity, or lasting impact in memories, and everything to do with how deep you are into the cogs of the US music industry. I don't care about Grammys validating my faves, especially when they are not from the US.

That's just how it is. And the sad thing is that it's not something that we, ARMY, can change. We can be powerful enough to have them perform there, sure, as the Academy need our views, but there is nothing we can do to make them win.

It sounds like you're trying to make yourself feel better about them not winning, which is understandable.

But imagine you were up for an award that you really wanted, worked very hard to get to that place, but ultimately didn't win. Then someone just says, well I'm glad you didn't win, because I would have preferred if you won with a different entry. That ain't it.
