I am not the best at studying, and I have already picked up on a bunch of Korean phrases and words from my unhealthy addiction to Korean dramas, so if I were to watch a lot of Korean shows do you think I could pick up on it (I know not fluently.) I probably should start using Duolingo again but I have no motivation, plus I have online school so it's hard to study something that isn't related to the subjects I'm taking right now. Any tips?
Do you think if I watch a bunch of Korean shows I could pick up Korean?

I still believe the traditional buying a Korean language book is the most efficient way

You can become fluent too if you supplement your watching with some proper studies as well, if there are no Korean language courses available you can always purchase self-study books and work on them at your own pace. Duolingo and other similar apps are nice for some quick study sessions when you are commuting to work/school etc.
This also applies to pretty much all languages btw, and remember that it's always better to start studying new languages when you are young as it does become much more difficult for most people as they get older especially if they are monolingual.

maybe and instead of duolingo you should try this https://www.memrise.com/ it's free and more helpful in learning a language
