LOL, i understand that things lost in translation can take away from the magic of a book/movie/whatever but this..ain't it

It's a beautiful thing to be able to dive in to another culture and look things from a different perspective..so many things i would have missed if i was this close minded and refused to watch things in different languages.

this statement is so contradictory lol

so you want to covey the goodness of japanese language to who? other japanese people? who already speak japanese? like what do you even mean?

I've watched plenty of shows with amazing dialogue and writing but never thought "wow, this is the true power and superiority of the English language"

There are still ultra nationalists in Japan that still has the island mindset - to be close off to the world - and that Japan should be 100% “pure” Japanese and yep, they be thinking they are the best.
