Itzy: why does having hits not help them get a big fanbase like other 4th gen groups?

Itzy has hits, no one can deny but their sales, tours and voting are weaker than other 4th gen groups. They sell less on total in Gaon than Ive despite debuting 2 years earlier, lower first week sales than Le sserafim. Ateez, Txt, Ive, Aespa, Enhypen all outsold itzy too despite debuting later. They tour in 5K capacity theatre while Ateez already tour in 18K arenas despite Ateez having no hits compared to them. Even in voting, their votes are below groups like Dreamcatcher. I mean Itzy has the hits, even the most streamed 4th gen song on Spotify, but why does that not translate into a big loyal fanbase that helps in sales, tours and voting?

Thd6 are a group you causally listen to not stan. What I’ve noticed ggs with very strong trendy brands get the biggest fanbases
