Born Pink will only sell 1.7M if there's no digipacks

    I checked Ktown4u and their digipacks sold like around 40% of their Born Pink album. What more from other sites cause digipacks is cheaper. Like 1M of Born Pink came from it. Imagine if YG didn't release those digipacks. They will only sell 1.7M or 1.6M copies this year from 1.2M copies sold in 2020. Just 400k to 500k more from 2 yrs ago.


    They also didn't grow much from their last cb prior Born Pink. They are doing stadiums in Asia, but other groups like SVT, SKZ and maybe Twice next year will perform in stadiums. Not including Japan because domes are quite a norm already in kpop groups.

    Also yes, the digipacks are actually very expensive in a lot of sites, ktown4u isn't the only one out there and its shipping prices are huge..for me locally it was at 30+ euros. Maybe even more, not sure..

    Not how it works. If there was no digipacks a lot of akgaes would've bought the normal one instead.

    Though why do you think fans with the same budget wouldn't simply have bought other variations of the album?

    BP are playing stadiums everywhere next year not just Asia

    The digipacks are not even cheap lmao, in my country the digipacks are 25€, the same price as many standard kpop albums of other groups

    It's still the same pricing with the rest of kpop groups digipacks or within the same range. And didn't I just say that it doesn't makes sense why you all keep on using US /EU prices when 90% of their album sales came from Asia. Its standard ver is selling 13 bucks to 18 bucks in Global store, then 10 buck for digipacks and that's the 90% of their sales. Not that it's a drag, but just stating that it's the same price as the others standard ver of kpop albums.
