BTS lobbied hard 2019-2021 and now are so mainstream that even their lesser-pushed work can enjoy the chance of a nomination. And MU was a shoe-in anyway, and a likely win. It’s also both possible to criticize the way the Grammys and all major award systems work while still enjoying when an act you love gets to benefit from the nominations. I know it’s the internet, but not everything is binary.
Truth hurts, coping helps.

but you know what happened behind the scenes?? you got the insiders info? gtfo
the absolute desperation of kpoppies to find a reason why literally NO kpop group is or ever will be 5% of bts & their achievements. get used to bts, and only them, being mainstream in US & probably getting regular (gram) noms from now on, no matter if they'll lobby or not.
bts lobbied hard for 2y, were the first kpop acts to ever get nominated (twice) & while it obviously paid off now since voters know and seem to like them enough to nom them despite no promoting, bts openly admitted that they wanted this last cb to be focused on closing a chapter. if they wanted to go out with a huge bang - and actively go after a grammy and other awards - they would have used Run Bts as TT and promoted it a lot. for once, put your bitterness aside & be rational. it will help you a lot.

Copium of Kpop stans is always wonderful to read

It’s pretty obvious when lobbying is involved. Read up on how Dua Lipa got her Grammy. Her team lobbied hard and it was pretty obvious. BTS’ “team” wouldn’t know how to lobby for a Grammy when they can’t even control the enlistment issue and don’t even know how to do PR. BTS has one of the worst PR teams because they just threw BTS to the wolves and never tried to spin it or do damage control. BTS had to eventually take control and announce that they would all enlist. To imply that HYBE is competent is just pure stupidity.

The fact that people know Grammy's are down to lobbying and politics and these same BTS fans were probably complaining about the legitimacy of the award these last few years lmao
BTS got nominated due to lobbying and politics, the fact that BTS get nominations in a year they had no hit songs says enough.
Talking nonsense. BTS is a big global superstar not only in specific markets/fans but they are widely known. The fact that YTC was nominated despite not being a hit like MU or their past singles is a testament of BTS impact and power to the industry that even the voters couldn't ignore. And in that sense, are you also gonna say this to a bunch of big artists that got nominated years after years despite of their songs not being commercially successful? They earned their place and they are just reaping it off.

Another day another kpoppies showing severe insecurity

the problem is that bts made this all seem easy for other kpop groups. it's been an uphill battle from day one and to then read about how some blinks were expecting best pop vocal album/best duo for a cb that was neither commercially nor critically successful is almost embarrassing. that's why i say that kpop without bts would not have had the same growth this generation, because a lot of it was due to the grunt work they did by actually going for their goals unabashedly. BP is the second most popular kpop band right now and YG would not have been as "hungry" as BTS/BH to have been able to pull up the entire industry with them.
