A lot of them are unnecessary but I can't say I agree about a show like Degrassi who focuses on new geneations every few seasons. A fresh perspective would have been nice.
The thing is there are already shows that are like Degrassi 2.0 focusing on Gen Z, Netflix is Full of it, Amazon Prime Video too and these shows don’t reach the streaming numbers they want apart from a few exceptions.
