Is it wise for Itzy to shift focus to Korea instead of global markets?

Itzy used to be a force on Spotify, Wannabe has 266M streams. Meanwhile Sneakers has 42M streams, which is very low compared to NewJeans Hype Boy which already has 95M streams despite being out later. But it was a top 5 hit in Korea. Do you think it’s good that they now focus more on Korea than globally?

Itzy's glory days might be behind them in terms of domestic and international hype but they will be fine long term, regardless of whether they focus on Korea or international. They have a large and stable fanbase that will grow with them like Twice. These days, new groups are coming out every year that catch peoples attention. Last year it was Ive, Stayc and Aespa, this year it's Newjeans and Lesserafim, and Gidle resurgence. Next year, it could be the new Hybe GG.
