Is this unfair to Taeil?

If you look at their videos, they don’t even give him enough screentime when he sings the high notes. The camera sometimes pans to someone else. This is also evident in performances. I know he’s not the “visual” in the group but this is a bit too much. I don’t really follow Super Junior but was Kyuhyun treated like this too since they are both main vocalists and not the “visual” in their respective groups?

Sure he deserves screentime but honestly speaking, highnote screen time looks annoying (especially if it's repetitive/ I lost count on taeil’s screaming face in mvs) unless if it is in context with the mv story. It might been have the MV’s director choice. Though he should get screentime regardless but my problem is onfans insisting on his high note part. It just feels like it’s limiting the creativeness of MVs if fans kept demanding screentime on high notes or admins.

Not only Kyuhyun but the KRY, they were merely shown on the MV and performances during their early days. There was an interview before when Kyu said that during U days, we can hear KRY all throughout the song doing adlibs and and other song ornaments but hardly appear on the MVs. Also during live performances they were always at the back. Yesung along with Shindong, their exposure in Twins Knockout and Miracle was really brief and blurry with the camera effects. Worst, Yesung was the one singing, but a different member was shown on the MV. I think the reason was

aside from the fact that they are not "visual", the group was quite new, so to appeal to the viewers, the actor line (Siwon, Heechul, Kibum) and the popular members (Kangin and Hangeng, though he rarely appear on live performances back then due to foreigners' work restriction(?)) have many exposures on the MV. He was always belong to the popular ones. He has many lines too in the song.

Well that happened not only to Kyuhyun but the whole KRY during their early days in the group. There was an interview before, when he shared that their voices were present throughout the song U, their rarely seen them on the MV. On live performances, they were always at the back and the camera hardly focus on them. Worst was Yesung during Twins Knockout, his voice was all throughout the song but was barely seen on the MV. Along with Shindong, they are always at the back during group shot. And when the camera focused on him, singing, his face was obscured partially because there was a line across his face; the camera moved a bit to show his face properly and zoomed out. His exposure hardly made a second.

Okay so similar then to Taeil. At least with Kyuhyun he had variety shows to fall back to and he also did A LOT of OSTs iirc. Idk what Taeil will do aside from singing. His solo career is still murky since SM seems to not be really trying to push and support him as a main vocalist. I actually don't know if it's Taeil that needs to be more proactive and build connections like TY and Kun or if it's SM.

I personally don't like it when the camera focuses on people not singing in performances. Makes no sense to me.

Well it took a while for Kyuhyun to get noticed. He shared before that there were times he asked himself if he made the right decision in joining an idol group when his ultimate dream is to be a ballad singer. He wondered when he will get his chance. Other members were super busy with their individual activities and he had nothing and just stayed at the dorm. IMO, I think it's a good thing SM decided to create KRY sub-unit, because it became an outlet for Kyu, Yesung and Ryeowook to showcase their capabilities as a singer. With the sub-unit, they got the exposure they deserved. They do OSTs and Musicals, though Kyuhyun also ventured on variety shows.

1-Super Junior members is not full of visuals, at least half of them fall into the barely passing with a lot of styling.

2- then some Super Junior members went up on the popularity scale by attending very often to variety shows. One of those members was Kyuhyun. He got popular for having some hurtfull comments on those programs, that people found funny. Today he would get cancel for some of these remarks.

3-Personal Opinion, but i think Taeil is the least handsome member on nct (to the point i think he is ugly), but each with their taste.

This is something many companies do to least popular members, to cut their part and paste a most popular member over. He should be happy that he is part of NCT. With a growing number of members on the group, he got to be a steady member. There are other 2 members wich are more popular by personality or looks.

but is still painfull to see him not chearing at the end while the others clapp
