Why do ifans care about dating scandals just like Knetz nowaday?

Ifans always bash Knetz for making a big deal of idols dating and not respecting idols freedom, but with the Dayeon’s dating scandal, I saw many Ifans write comments bashing her for dating while being a rookie. Are ifans adopting Knetz’s attitude?

ifans have always cared about dating. When it comes to western celebrities they are just as loud, rude, and invasive. The only difference with Kpop idols is that they are a little more personally invested.

In the case of Dayeon, it's worse because even if Ifans don't care, kfans will, and Kfans determine the charts in Korea. So if they flop on the charts in Korea as a result of Kfans being mad of course they will be mad too. The issue is that she's rookie and her dating will bring down the group. Not sure that it matters much though since Kep1er is a bit of a flop. Oh, it also doesn't help that ifans never really liked her that much to begin with because of Mnet favoritism. Their fandom is divided and made up of a bunch of solos.

ifans are the same as kfans, they just live in denial and love to convince themselves and others that they are PC

i think when it comes to western ifans its that they don't really care about the dating itself, but oh boy do they judge the hell out of the relationship and its every step

example: people still making a circus out of justin and selena when they guy is MARRIED

I've said this a lot. ifans (especially on twitter) are becoming just as bad, if not the exact same as toxic knetz. Especially the newer younger fans. They react the same, it's as if they internalize everything they read from knetz and emulated that behavior

Western fans have always cared about dating scandals. Kpop, western pop, whatever, there has always been hate towards idols/celebs for dating. So no, they're not adopting anything from kfans, it's always existed.

The funny thing in Justin and Selena were literally the two I was picturing when I wrote that.
