How did NCT Dream performed at Jamsil Stadium before NCT 127?

NCT 127 seem to be way more pushed than Dream even in Korea. How did Dream's popularity eclipsed NCT 127 in Korea?

Dream is the most popular NCT unit.

SM already gave 127 their daesang last year so this year they give Dream their jamsil concert.

They originally had a different venue but members caught Covid so they had to cancel it. The venue was fully booked until February 2023 so they went with jamsil instead.

Dream has always been targeted specifically targeted to Korea and is more popular there. It's not surprising at all. 127 is the flagship unit with more global promotions, which is reflected in their higher global sales while Dream dominates in Korea. This is why 127 had a worldwide tour and played the Japanese domes first.

No one is "carrying" the brand: NCT 127 sold out Japanese domes and NCT Dream played stadiums. Both are selling out concerts in other countries like the Phillipines and Indonesia. Both each sold over 2M copies on their last releases. They both are doing great. I don't know why people pit them against each other.
