According to pann Aespa with 1.7m sales were surpassed by IVE and NewJeans who aren't even a year old yet.....

    Aespa's rise was more authentic since they didn't do that well in their debut so Next Level is what took them to the #1 spot.

    IVE and NewJeans aren't even a year old but according to pann and allkpop users they've surpassed Aespa? :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:


    You can't compare trending groups to a solidified group like Aespa who have proved they can sell and chart well without huge promotions.

    NewJeans is a month old so it's offensive seeing them in the discussion but, even IVE haven't proved they can pass Aespa since they are just a trend and need heavy promo.


    I can promise you this time next year there will be another trending rookie that will be compared to Aespa the standard.

    I didn't want to drop a reply because it would counter my point in said reply but it's kinda satisfying so I can't help but say it anyway:

    sell and charting without huge promotions when sm paying up to have them everywhere ^^

    IVE is much more consistent than aespa, aespa has Next level as big hit but none of their other hits got anywhere close, Eleven has already more points on circle chart than Savage and was released 2 months later (eleven is still 25 on circle and savage is 100), Love Dive was bigger than Eleven and after like is on the path to be bigger than LD.


    for NewJeans we need to wait 1/2 comebacks, they could be peaking at debut which wouldn't be the first time.

    aespa is SM puff, bluff and nothing more than air
