Does Txt still have a chance of capturing the public?

  • They made a Japanese comeback but no one’s talking. It feels like they were starting to connect with the public with Freeze but Good boy gone bad didn’t connect at all. Can they still redeem themselves and how?

  • Not with that trash music

  • Doubtful. In the last decade only BB, EXO, BTS and Wanna One among BGs have "captured the public", rest had to manage with whatever fandom they can build.

Among the new crop, none seem capable of getting the GP. SKZ get the most chatter, but even they are far from it.

  • I think it's very difficult because the kpop blueprint caters mostly to women and not a lot of focus is on the music. All they seem to want in kpop is to impress you with the visuals, attractive people, clothes, sets, big budget videos. But the music is very formulaic and the idols rarely have any input with their music so on an artistic level there is no connection.
