HYLT was under different rules. Under same rules, BP is only 9 spots behind BTS. BTS isn't that far ahead.

everyone is getting less points than before and you can’t compare points before and after the rule changes. Kpop songs especially had more points back when you could buy a song more than once.

and i love how blinks ignore how ytc is ballad and their album was the best/the greatest hits and still did great and better than the most anticipated dance/hype song from the supposed biggest group with gp behind them. Meanwhile they're still booking 15k capacity arenas all around the world KOREA included

you can't buy the song x times like before rules changes, this affect everyone, they had more streams then before but fewer sales, they did grow but not enough to outmatch the rules changes by BBB sales wise
BTS could surely get other n1 hit on the hot 100 but points wise they would do waay less points than before because that's what the change is suppossed to do to and why is was even created.. Radio and stream up, sales got downgraded

We can only compare current releases with the new rules in place. And it seems like now, BTS isn't that far ahead of Blackpink.

It's cute how you're trying to defend BP by using a completely different American artist like Olivia Rodrigo. Her success doesn't justify BPs lack of it. Also, I do remember poor Ms. Rodrigo not being able to get a number one song because a kpop group blocked her. But don't worry, high charting isn't everything. I know BP cares more about giving their fans great music and sharing their artistry with them.....
