    BP obviously had a bigger momentum and hype after 2 year hiatus. NJ just debuted so their brand is far weaker than BP to be beating them this easily

    It has nothing to do with the brand, NJ is the trend in SK right now and you can easily see that from their consistently high ULs, multiple songs charting very high on Melon etc. I think you just don't understand what momentum means.

    BP has always been THE trend in SK but it seems they don’t have as much power anymore. it’s ok to admit it instead of pretending NJ is suddenly so much trendier than BP when they didn’t exist 2 weeks ago

    Blackpink getting a #2 instead of a #1 on a title track that is possibly their worse song ever.... is still pretty impressive

    You are not making any sense. The songs that NJ released a few weeks ago are currently really popular in SK, people like them and they have also promoted them well recently. Can BP overtake them later on this week? Well that depends on whether people like PV more than Attention. Hiatus hype can only help with initial charting, not longevity.


    BP still has plenty of power in SK as evidenced by their 24h ULs which were only behind BB this year. You don't get those numbers without anticipation and relevance.

    I bet last month people wouldnt believe if anyone predict that a rookie group will block the trendiest GG ww on melon
