The setting was Polish era where Hussite wagons were invented. What I remember on this manga is there was a girl who traveled to a village, the village was raided and a child she befriended there was killed.
A rebel group found the girl and taught her how to wield a "gun". (which was just a hollow tube and a bullet at that time)
