well it seems to be a different direction than they went before and it's completely different from pink venom. I just don't like that 'I will survive sound'. Hopefully they don't use that sound.

Yg’s tactic to limit bp’s releases to no more than yearly works wonders in boosting their performance on charts. Look at how lsg couldn’t match hylt’s hype and peak on charts. If bp came back more regularly their songs wouldn’t do this well.

We don’t even know if Pink Venom would hold long enough to unseated by Attention again. After Like can overtake it similar to Love Dive overtaking Still Life but it will take months if it even has the chance.
After Life is the same from an old known song I will Survive and they copied and pasted it as far as I can tell. A very well known classical pop song. So Koreans know the song does not have a new melody. I think even if it is listened to out of curiosity, it will not have a new and fresh air like Love Dive.

It's not a remake, Starship teased other parts of the song and it sound nothing like I Will Survive. It's just a sample, so more similar to what Pussycat Dolls did sampling I Will Survive for Hush Hush.

Lovesick Girls didn't do as well because Blackpink listened to all the antis and concern trolls who were telling them to not release Blackpink sounding songs.
I listened to a Gfriend playlist yesterday and with a couple of exceptions it all sounded like variations on the same theme. People only get mad when it's Blackpink because they're so successful. If they stick with their popular concepts for the next album it will reflect on the charts.
