Hybe panicked & changed bts' hiatus plans

    this is just a thought i had, but so many things don't make sense

    Bts announced they would take a break (with run bts eps) & i think hybe had a plan for it. they were prepared to give bts their time off while "helping" them (big overstatement here since hybe is doing shit for hobi imo) release their official solos.


    but hybe NEVER expected how incredibly hard they would be hit with the consequences - stock plummeted & they lost 1,7 BILLION dollar - so they started to panic & they are backtracking now. it feels like they talked bts into returning to more group activities than they originally planned because they knew they were fucked. biggest indicator is suddenly agreeing to the Busan concert (that hybe had been ignoring for over a year). idk, some things feel weird about this whole timeline...


    i hope one day, we get to hear more about it if the boys ever feel like sharing that

    well it's too late at this point with enlistment soon they won't be able to make even half the income they use to generate

    They need to focus on solos tho, their group songs aren't doing that good now. Solos arent wiling to supportwhole group and gp is tired of same popish sound.

    this doesn't make sense bc the only group music activity is this one October concert and both hybe and bts have no control over their government's insistence to have them represent certain aspects of Korea. They most likely didn't have a choice, especially considering the military issue and the govt wanting them to even potentially continue overseas concerts during enlistment which is nuts. i guess being a soft power means you don't have any say unfortunately

    ok ig but one question tho. do you even watch festa dinner because if you did then you will know that you get your second sentence wrong (the run bts eps) like go watch the dinner show again

    But it is not as though BTS did not have any say either. After all they do hold decent percentage of stocks and wouldn't want them devalued either.


    I think BTS need not have said anything and just continued whatever they wanted to do - solos, no group activity etc., Leaving things unsaid and in suspense, is better than confusion.


    Look at BP thriving, with no comebacks for months and years., fans will stick on. Others will move on.

    Bp thrive because their brand is bad bitch. It's never been about the music. It's all about selling young girls the idea that if they are fans of BP they too are slaying, and everyone wants them and wants to be them, etc.

They've partnered up with Scooter Braun, and UMG, they're the biggest selling artist in the world the last 2 years. Do you honestly think if Hybe was shaking about their stock losses, do you not think they could easily pull their resources to make a group album with top level collabs and have another Dynamite at the very least if they wanted? C'mon kpop fans, wake up.

    That's why BP will be "successful" with their cb, because they will do exactly the same thing. Sell the bad ass bitch concept, sing about being bad ass, or broken hearted and their fans will eat it up, because kpop fans only care about being able to brag.

    yeah i watched it & they confirmed run bts was still going to continue? that's why i said "taking a break with run bts eps" bc those were still planned.

    that's such a bs to me

    they had the offer FOR OVER A YEAR & they didn't do shit with it, but the moment their stocks plummeted bc people thought bts' groups activities were stopping, hybe confirmed the concert - a group activity.

    yes, their new government is shady & i wouldn't put it past them to try dirty tricks to get bts, but stop acting as if hybe has no foot to stand on. If hybe could dismiss the inauguration & IU has probably denied many government related stuff too, hybe isn't the puppet you make them to be. They like using the government eagerness to use bts for their own benefit (e.g. convincing stockholders OT7 wasn't stopping)

    Also, BP is thriving bc YG has trained their fans to hold on, they will give them literal crumbs (of the exact same meal) every few years & then leave the fans high and dry.


    last but not least, if i read ONE MORE "they have a decent/good/big percentage of stocks" i'm going to throw myself of a cliff... bts, ALL TOGETHER, has like 1,4% stocks. 7 men who build that whole company has less than 2% & yet, fans act as if they own 15% each. Got to be one of the best decisions hybe ever made - giving each member a crumble of stocks. now, no fan can go boycott them or whatever bc "bts owns hybe!!"

    I think you underestimate ARMY if you think they can't hold on and neither will BTS entirely stop .. They will give solo or other activities.


    As to shares, heck I hold 0.00001% of some companies and still worry..

    Money is money.

    And in their case, it is also their legacy.


    As to built the whole company, that's just undermining Bang Si Hyuk.

    The producers and owners have a greater role and risk in building such companies, than artists.But anyway, that's an endless debate.


    I don't agree to seeing companies apart from that products. BTS won't be BTS without Bighit and Vice versa.
