Does anyone feel that idols on variety show are boring nowadays with the same BIG 3/4 groups everywhere

Just a half-rant, but variety shows are so boring nowadays. It's always the same BIG 3 using their connections especially SM using their connections and throwing their idols on every big variety shows, and the occasional other popular idols from elsewhere/mid or lower tier companies.

It feels like back then there were a lot more variety and even lower tier companies were able to send their idols on shows, but now in 4th gen it's all dominated by companies and connections, it just feels like all strictly politics and marketing, instead of entertainment.

I agree SM idols act like robots so it's very boring

half agreed; another side is variety show are boring nowadays because they cannot afford to pissed off fans. its sucked so bad let me tell you. back then we had Xman, Loveletters, 1st gens go on it and make a fool of themselves, they had lovelines EVEN with actresses/actors, and it was so fun. and that's what variety show supposed to be, a fun time. obsessive stans killed that vibe in recent years.

even if 2 idols in a room breathe together- stans will layout a murder case style, of who got a crush on who. its not the big3, its the fans. imagine if the big3 have their idols be on shows together, ya fans wont stand to see it.

Earth Arcade Youngji is such an entertainer, she doesnt care of her image or what she says, she's just in it to have fun and entertain us, that's what a show supposed to do.

It’s interesting to see that despite some of them being thrown to constantly to variety shows they do any better digitally or physically. I wonder why
