Jungkook, Sana, and the fleeing away.

  • It must have been love/ But it's over now

    -- Roxette

Jungkook was growing more and more away from the world, and had all the while faint pangs of conscience about his parting with Nayeon. When he wasn't with Sana, he frittered away his time with loafing, collecting, filming, and playing. But he did not feel any happier for it; he had the obscure feeling that he was fleeing from himself, with or without Sana by his side.

There was this one time, both of them (Jungkook and Nayeon) were on the beach, and Nayeon turned to face him. But he was walking away without returning her stare. Intentionally or not, I could not tell; in either case, he deserted her. Several minutes later, I saw her sitting, with her knees close up to her head and one shoulder slightly higher than the other. That shoulder rose and fell rhythmically and convulsively. Nayeon, evidently suffering, shouted gruffly and angrily at Jungkook to go back. But Jungkook did not understand her, and remained near the post, and stood there even when we drove away.
