Are purple kiss trying to copy Tomboy?

  • Not copied maybe but heavily inspired especially after tomboys success. Parts of their new song really sounds like Minnie's parts in Tomboy. The mv also gives the same vibes and theyre wearing similar pink outfits in the chorus dance

Tried to find a gif in a tweet to show what I'm talking about but I think they're more nugu than I thought so the mv will have to do

    Approved the thread.
  • Don't know, but I really hope more groups let themselves be inspired by (G)I-dle and Tomboy.

I want more songs like that, and more ggs like that! :send-love-bunny:

  • :pepewhat:

What are you on about? Did you listen their previous titles? This song is the same as they were. Not everything revolves around Tomboy you know.

  • Not at all. If anything, this give's more Dreamcatcher than Tomboy. It plays more into horror than the grunge and rock that G-idle did with Tomboy.

  • Honestly they have been trying so hard to do similar songs to past hits just to bag one that its sad, Memem rip off of Savage and this one of Tomboy. Wouldn't be surprised their next comeback is similar to Love Dive or the next BP title track

  • Very little. If anything, it's purely coincidental. This song sounds more like a remake of HIP. Go check the beats for both songs. I'm guessing the same producer made both songs. Actually sounds like they deconstructed HIP and changed whatever they could to keep a slight distance to the original.

  • songs have similar bpm all the time, thats why you see those youtube videos where different songs were played in the background and matches the dance routine of another group.

a comeback doesn't happen overnight. its continuously worked on. you cant just copied a song from a group 2-3 months after that group released the song lol. stage costume, lyrics, composing, recording, film, it would be need to be laid out. Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park said in it best in one of his interviewed, the group had songs to be release and recorded, all planned out months and years ahead. when it released, it just happened to have similar sounding with another group that released a few months prior and people were complaining that they copied that group. always stuck out to me.

PK is not big enough to go against Idle, but i guess noise marketing is still marketing.

  • I don't see any similarities to Tomboy

Are you just trying to get PK some attention? GJ I guess

  • Same. even the way they sing. it sounds like gogobebe to me

I was thinking Hip but yes. Even just the fact their title track concepts can also be divided into two categories, quirky/fun and dark elegant/fatal(in mmm's case) reminds me of them a bit.

I could tell they're from RBW even if I didn't know.

  • For me it has a more similar vibe to Billie Eilish's bad guy than anything else

  • It sounds very dark goth lite like their earlier track Ponzona mixed with the poppy Zombie. Comparing them to Dreamcatcher or Pixy I might see, not not Tomboy.

Also, wearing pink outfits is now copying Tomboy?

    :pepe-back-away:

  • Tomboy is such a cringe trash song
