Will Mijoo's variety popularity fade out like how Hwasa's did in the past 1-2 years?

  • A few years back, Hwasa blew up from her I Live Alone appearances, got many CFs and many fans were clamouring her to be the "breaking from traditional Korean beauty standards" it girl. She also was featured in Hangout with Yoo's Refund Sisters and rubbed off of Yoo Jae Suk's popularity.

Since the past 2 years, Mijoo also blew up in the variety scene, and Yoo Jae Suk took her under his wings, and they worked together many times from many appearances on Running Man, a host role in Sixth Sense, and also eventually to a permanent role in Hangout with Yoo. And she's experiencing similarity popularity boom, got many CFs and opportunities.

Will Mijoo's fame and popularity also fade out like how Hwasa did? Not saying Hwasa is completely jobless or anything like that, but the whole mukbang craze died down and she does not appear in variety shows as often as she used to.

  • Well, I think it's important to know that Hwasa isn't a comedian or a TV show entertainer. She might be busy doing collabs, songs, projects, or whatever else comes up. I know Jae Suk jokes that Mijoo is a comedian but I felt the same way for her.

It's like there's a timing for everything. Hwasa did her job, and now Mijoo doing hers. Unless they're TV show hosts/MC or comedian, I don't expect them to frequently appear on variety. It's a great small gig for a while though, getting the public to know your name, so that's cool.

  • Apparently i live alone viewers got tired from Hwasa and others flexing/having their wealth constantly on tv, so they started dragging her and that's how her popularity fizzled out and she flopped. Yes, she did. I remember people being shocked she did. It happened during covid peak in 2021? and people having money problems i think so it makes sense.

Mijoo needs to be careful and not make people sick of her the way Jennifer Lawrence did and she will be fine.

  • Hwasa bagged 12 cfs this year, went viral on the kside twice and was front row in valentino :clown:

I would like the drugs some of y'all are on.

  • Didn't read the OP's post, but it made me wonder. Do most people in kpop community, because of all these comparisons, and who's better then who, do you have to watch all these things? Like see who's doing well as an actor, who is the IT person (never got these rankings), see who is popular in variety? It feels like it's exhausting, and also I get that this is geared for kids, I mean who the fuck as an adult has that kind of time to devote to all this stuff? Wouldn't it be easier and more rewarding to just listen to the music?
