When D2 was released bts was on a complete lockdown so the entire attention was on his mixtape , meanwhile when JITB was announced we had taehyung attending fashion event, his in the soop was announced, vlog released two days ago and JK'S L&R so attention got divided. HW1 had more hype than D2 because of same reason.

He’s alienating non fans with his promotion and fans with the genre he’s doing. Like you can see that he did put a lot of effort into it but he doesn’t understand the market at all, it’s sad because his solo debut which only happens once is just going to be messy

shut up, he can do whatever he wants. it's his growing progress as an artist. he doesn't do it for fame or to appeal to GP, he wants a unique music identity and he got my respect for that.

Honestly I don’t think his intention is to take the world by storm, if he really intended for it they’d make the teaser a lot more visual appealing, l with dance parts (he’s literally the main dancer yet there’s no dance yet), shiny scenarios yet you don’t see anything like that.. but hybe done fuck it with the physical thing but whatever

It wasn't in his hand he waited years to release their album. He's trying his best to keep the hype.

Yeah but at the same time I think he waited years already its not recent work he's been working for years on this album and wanted to share it with fans ASAP. But there are some things they couldve done smartly like sending him to some variety shows, releasing his vlog first, more magazine covers etc. I hope they do it for yoongi.

If anything the hype of taehyung being in the fashion event got many people active in all social media, they could have streamed the song while watching him pole dance???they didn't . So please don't blame him and his VLOG for this if army for some reason didn't tune in. But i still don't understand why you think it underperforming when he charted well on h100 after chart reform with no radio/payola. Many western artists struggle there but again y'all success stans are never satisfied and live through their achievements.
