I guess it's because my first three years (kinda five counting DMUMT and Obsession) in the fandom there was actually steady content and promotions, but I am just not built for this total lack of music. This year is easily the worst year ever as an EXO-L and yet we have SEVEN members not serving right now! What is the reasoning??
At least in 2020 at the beginning of the year SM told us there wouldn't be a group comeback. Nowadays they leave us in the dark and force us to live off random rumors and watch all the solo fandoms fight with each other, it's like SM wants the fandom to die.

Yeah... I am still hoping for a winter album before the end of this year....

I kinda see why they didn't release any group album... They've been busy with TV/movies and stuff
