not even a blink but I will die on this hill that Ice Cream was a good song. And while i'm add it I will burn on the pyre that Twice IGBAS is a good song too. I don't want to hear any objections.
As for Aespa LTS the song is just okay. Not bad to listen to if it's on but no one is going to go out of their way to listen to it if it's not already playing unless they are a my.

Ice Cream was a bop and a half, better than all the other English tracks by a country mile. IGBAS has literally some of the best Kpop rap verses ever.

Don’t agree
I don’t think Ice cream is a bad song but imo it has no replay factor
While aespa life too short is a bit toned down but is really easy to listen too, the chorus is great. I’ve had it on loop in my playlist since it came out

It's kinda funny how k-pop fans zero in on group popularity being the sole reason why a song charts great whenever it suits them, and other times zero in on the song being good - and not at all group popularity giving a boost - as the sole reason for a song charting great.
It's both. Group popularity can give a song a boost on charts, promotion can do that too, and a song being catchy does it too.
If Ice Cream still did well, then it's simply because BP's and Gomez' popularity gives it a boost and because more people liked the song. If English songs like Aespa's LTS and BP's Love to Hate Me and Crazy Over You charted badly on Korean charts, then Aespa's and BP's popularity wasn't enough to give those songs a much needed boost, and the songs' catchiness wasn't enough to make enough Koreans aware of the songs and listen to them, and like them.

guilty is guilty. Neither one does it well and both should stop.
And yeah Koreans may not care but since Aespa is supposed to be the “next big thing” in the west, they are making it harder to do so by stealing from other cultures. The rapping is bad enough (they have no good rappers in that group). They don’t need to use AAVE or mock other cultures on top of that.

Then all the biggest BG rapline are more guilty
