Why do people post threads about songs flopping when not even 24 hours has past after the song's release?

The threads are fucking stupid.

Songs need to be given time after being released to rise up the charts.

eyy, honestly, I'd say most of them are trolling and just trying to stir the pot. they probably know it takes time to rise, but they get reactions by pretending otherwise.

Bc people love to act dumb and troll.

Because people are impatient or bored and don't want to wait for a week and longer to see how a song is charting.

It's not completely a stupid thing to do though.

While the first day charting hardly says anything about how a song will perform as the weeks progress, it does indicate initial hype, and this can be compared with initial hype and numbers of other songs and artists (for those who're interested in that sort of stuff).
