I can't find the quote but Winner recently let fans know that they were ready to move forward with their next album but that YG was doing nothing. I think - don't quote me though - they literally said "We can't do anything about it".
Blackpink are in the worst situation because even though they were trained for 5 years in songwriting, Teddy has control over their output. They seem fond of him, but there is no way that man is going to step aside from his biggest income stream and let Blackpink write/produce on their own.
Then if they are serious at all about pursuing music and re-sign with that company, that will be the final nail in the coffin.
If they are fine with the way things are that's perfectly okay too but SAY IT. You have blinks out here blaming this, that, and the third, "they're serious about music they just aren't allowed!!1!" Enough. Stop trying to pretend like they're musicians.
