Kpop idols feed delulus

  • They go around calling their fans their "girlfriends", queer baiting with their fellow members. Acting like opposite gender doesn't even exist and expect fans to not react when their dating rumors are broke. I'm seeing many of u blaming fans but what about those who feed them? They need to focus less on fanservice and more on music.

  • Yep. That's why I don't judge people for shipping etc. I don't do it myself but as long as the idols keep encouraging it you can't really judge fans for taking the bait

  • Perhaps without the fanservice part, kpop would have been a bit boring?

But I like when some kpop idols say stuff like "No, I'm not your boyfriend, we are never going to get married." to their fans.

  • the whole system is outmoded/quaint and needs to change to have any global relevance in the future. also as Korea becomes more liberal over time, I’m guessing it will change some of these norms.

But maybe tone it down a lil bit. Atleast normalise interacting and being friends with opposite gender.

I don't judge them either. If u show those shipping videos to some muggle they'll also be convinced that they're queer.

I'm not asking any country to change their norm or culture but atleast show fans their place. Even in the most Conservative countries, stars aren't like that.

  • i get what you're saying, but if the fans are mature enough...they won't actually believe that they had any chance with the idols or any celebs for that matter. You can blame the fans, and you can also blame the companies that make idols do it, marketing. but ive been in kpop for a decade and i dont think like that, so you cant excuse those type of fans.

  • I would blame companies more than idols. I'm sure they teach these fan-fishing strategies to idols as trainees.

    then blame the idols too?
