I actually prefer written form instead of dramas or movies. I think they take a lot of time while reading is way faster. So if I am interested in a drama and find its written novel, then i would drop it right then and start reading novel.
do you read the translated English version of the story correct?
cool cool - I've never read an English version of the drama or movie - sometimes I'm like but there's so many things in Chinese that just don't properly translate to English lol

I am currently watching Infinity and Beyond and almost all of the songs in it are in Cantonese. I've watched so many of variety shows that I can now probably understand Mandarin without subs but I can't understand a word of Cantonese. You said you watch HK dramas so I guessed.

Also I read english version if it is available. If not then I can read MTL as well. These days google translate is my biggest friend.
