II. Career
I. 2008-2013: Early career
In 2008 Chaeyeon debuted as a child actress in the movie Scandal Makers. A few years later, in 2013, she made an apperance on MBC's drama "The Queen's Classroom", SBS's drama "Ugly Alert" and tvN's drama "Fantasy Tower" as Koo Yu-Mi.
II. 2014: CutieL debut
In 2014, Chaeyeon appeared in the movie "Tazza: The Hidden Card" as the mountain girl. That same year she debuted as an idol in the kids’ girl group called CutieL.
III. 2017: Departure from CutieL, Busters debut
In early 2017, she officialy left CutieL. She debuted as a member of Busters on November 27, 2017 with the group's first single "Dream On".
IV. 2020: Departure from Busters
On August 6, 2020, Marbling announced Busters would be going on a hiatus and reorganize, with Chaeyeon, Jisoo, and Yeseo to finish group activities before focusing on acting and other broadcasting activities in the near future.
V. 2021-present: New agency, Redebut in tripleS
On July 21, 2021, she signed an exclusive contract with YK Media Plus. On May 23, 2022, the agency was deleted from her Naver profile, indicating her departure.
On June 16, 2022, it was reported that Chaeyeon would be re-debuting as a member of the upcoming girl group tripleS.
On June 22, she was introduced as the group's fourth member.
