Lee Chaeyeon is a former member of disbanded group IZ*ONE. She is the older sister of Lee Chaeryeong, one of the main dancers of the girl group ITZY.
In 2015, Chaeyeon and her sister competed against 14 other girls on the JYP survival show SIXTEEN that formed the current girl group known as TWICE. She was unfortunately eliminated after the Jacket Cover round and was the very first contestant to be eliminated in the show. In 2018, she later competed in Mnet's survival show Produce 48 (WM Entertainment). Chaeyeon placed #12 and debuted in the temporary girl group IZ*ONE in October.
