I. Introduction

"버퍼링 (Glitch Mode)," also known as "Buffering (Glitch Mode)" and simply "Glitch Mode," is the second song and title track on Glitch Mode, the second Korean studio album from NCT Dream. It was released on March 28, 2022. It is also the third track on the repackage, Beatbox.

The album features all 7 members. The title track "버퍼링 (Glitch Mode)," which translates as "Buffering (Glitch Mode)," was also simply called "Glitch Mode" in some regions, including the U.S.

The song was described as an "an attractive hip hop dance song with signature vocal source and lively beat and the lyrics, inspired by arcade games, contain a confident message that if you want to win the game, you eventually have to follow me to win."

References in the song are tied to the album and song's theme, including "clickbait," "miscode" and "buffering." Mark also has a line that references the speed of light ("299,792 per second"). Group member Mark is one of the writers of the song.

NCT Dream is a sub-unit of NCT.
