    II. Career



    Younghoon was a Starship Entertainment trainee, but left the company and debuted with HALO as the leader under the stage name Ooon on June 26, 2014.

    On May 8, 2019, HISTAR Entertainment announced the group's exclusive contract had been expired in April and are currently in discussion with the members on future activities. In September 2019, He participated in Produce 101 Japan along with two fellow HALO members, Heecheon and Yoondong, where they all eventually left the show due to personal reasons.

    On February 6, 2020, a YouTube channel named ORBIT UNION (now ORβIT Official) uploaded a video teaser of Younghoon. On February 9, 2020, after all members have been revealed, Younghoon was announced to be a member of ORBIT, a Japanese-Korean seven-member boy group. The group officially debuted on November 11, 2020 with the album 00.

    – According to Heecheon, when they first meet, Ooon looked like a quiet person.


    – Ooon has a tattoo on his right bicep that says “This too, shall pass”.


    – He appeared in KBS2’s “Cheer Up” drama.


    – He acted (very small role) in Hwarang: The Beginning.
